Applying for the Roan
Any high school senior living anywhere in TN - or the surrounding states of GA, KY, NC, SC, and VA - may apply directly for the Roan, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Seniors in certain counties (see below) may also be nominated by their high school. Since the program expanded (in fall 2022) to include direct applicants, each new Roan class has included both applicants and nominees.
WHO CAN NOMINATE STUDENTS FOR THE ROAN?
All high schools in the counties listed below are also eligible to nominate a student for the Roan. Eligible nominating high schools may nominate 1 student each year (2 if their senior class size is 300+). If you have any questions about the nomination process, please feel free to contact us.
