Mr. Mark Kinser
Professional Highlights: After graduating from the University of Tennessee, began a 42-year career with General Shale where he accelerated through all levels of manufacturing management, eventually leading him into senior leadership roles, including Vice-President of Marketing and Corporate Development and Executive Vice President. He retired from General Shale on January 31, 2020. He serves on the board of several local organizations and The Brick Industry Association Board of Directors.
Personal Interests: Married with two grown children and five grandchildren. Enjoy hiking, skiing, and playing golf. Also enjoy beekeeping as a hobby where every year is a new learning experience.
International Travel Experience: Personal and professional travels abroad have encompassed 12 countries in Europe and also Cyprus and Israel.
Noteworthy Travel Experiences within the U.S.: Have visited 40 of 50 states. Of all those stateside travels, am particularly fond of summiting Mt. Rainier in Washington State with our grown children, riding a mule to the depths of the Grand Canyon and back, hiking the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in four days and skiing every winter in the Rocky Mountains.
