Mr. Lewis Runnion

Professional Highlights: I bring extensive leadership experience from the military, corporate, and academic arenas. I served as both an enlisted soldier and an Armor Officer in the United States Army, where I developed a deep sense of dedication and professionalism. After my military service, I pursued a successful career on Wall Street and later served as a policy executive for Defense and Veterans Affairs at Bank of America, shaping impactful strategies that supported veterans and defense initiatives. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Tennessee State University and an MBA with a focus on Business Strategy from the University of Tennessee, providing me with a strong foundation in leadership and strategic planning. As the Managing Partner of Eleven09, I am  

focused on driving innovative growth, fostering meaningful partnerships, and championing the empowerment of veteran-owned businesses 

Personal Interests: I am an avid competitive cyclist, constantly inspired by the rigor and challenge of the sport. I also enjoy fly fishing in both fresh and saltwater, which combines my love for nature with the art of angling. My passion for exploration has led me to trek and hike in remote locales,  including the vast and captivating Sahara Desert. Recently, I’ve developed a keen interest in  performance automobile driving, embracing the precision and adrenaline of mastering high performance vehicles. These activities reflect my adventurous spirit and dedication to pushing  boundaries both personally and professionally.  

International Travel Experience: I have been fortunate to travel to a wide range of destinations,  including Europe, North Africa, Alaska, Central and South America, and the North Pacific. These  experiences have enriched my understanding of global cultures and broadened my perspective on  international business and community building.  

Noteworthy Travel Experiences Within the U.S.: Alaska remains a highlight of my travels within the  United States. I appreciate its unique natural beauty and rugged landscapes, which provide both adventure and inspiration.
